This Is Football is a football (soccer) video game series of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) by London Studio. It first appeared on the PlayStation in 1999. This is Football started Sony's soccer / football series, which aims for a realistic game with lots of control modes. Offsides and fouls are both optional. Controls include slide tackles, one-touch passing and sprint turns. The game is fully endorsed by FIFPro, and therefore features real 5000 players and their facial likenesses, 230 real clubs, and stadiums from all across Europe. 20 different tournaments are included.
